Nicolas
Who made you go down?
You cry
When you said goodbye
You diminished into the flame
And when you left you took your flame
Little violinist
He took away your hands
Did he not understand?
You couldn’t play your violin
You couldn’t write
You felt the spite
The blood couldn’t satisfy you anymore

I keep wishing in my head
That you didn’t burn and none of these words were said
I know that I am in denial
For you are dead
And the worst part is
In death you can not speak
In death you can not eat
In death you can not see
In death you can not be who you are truly meant to be

In death you can not hear
And in death you will disappear
And you already have, you are gone
Nicky, are you where you belong
For many hearts have been broken
On the account of your suicide
(Including mine)
(I know I can’t hide)
Myself from the truth
You couldn’t hide from your pain
Your choice was to let the rain
Fall down from the sky
No one will ever hear you play your violin again
A poem about Nicolas de Lenfent, who is a character in The Vampire Lestat by Anne Rice. Hope u like it.
